COMING SOON Intro into Wine Making June 26th
Intro to Wine Making
A Summer Evening on the Homestead
There is something about summer fruit at its peak. Just waiting to be transformed into something that lingers long after the season fades.
If you have ever wanted to learn how to make your own wine, summer is the perfect place to begin.
On June 26th from 6:30pm to 8:00pm, join me for a relaxed evening on the homestead as we step into the basics of traditional wine making. Carboys will be filling with fresh fruit wines. Buckets of crushed fruit will be quietly fermenting, waiting to be racked and aged. You will see the process in real time.
This is a discussion and Q and A style class. Wine making is not rushed. It unfolds over days, weeks, and sometimes months. During our time together we will walk through the full process so you understand what is happening from the first crush to the final pour.
What we will cover
• The basic equipment needed to begin
• The role of yeast and sugar
• Primary and secondary fermentation
• Racking and aging
• The science behind fermentation and alcohol development
• Common mistakes and how to avoid them
You will leave with a clear understanding of the process and a complete supply list so you can confidently start your own batch at home.
Throughout the evening we will sip local wine and graze on artisan cheeses and thoughtful accompaniments. Come with your spouse for a simple date night or invite a friend and make it a summer memory.
Investment
$35 per person
Space is limited to keep the class intimate and unhurried.
Reserve your seat and step into a slower way of living.
*All classes are non-refundable*
