Water Kefir, Kombucha, and Whey Sodas
As the days grow warmer, it is the perfect time to learn how to make refreshing, naturally carbonated drinks at home.
Join us for a spring brunch and morning of learning centered around three traditional fermented beverages: water kefir, kombucha, and old fashioned whey sodas.

The experience
This is a demonstration style class designed to give you clarity and confidence without overwhelm.
During our time together, you will
• Sip kombucha, water kefir, and homemade whey sodas
• Learn the science behind fermentation in simple terms
• Understand the differences between water kefir and kombucha
• Learn how whey from yogurt can be used to create simple probiotic sodas
• Walk through the step by step process for brewing each at home
• Learn how to flavor your drinks using fresh summer fruits, herbs, and citrus
We will talk about how to use what you already have in your kitchen. Extra whey from straining yogurt does not need to go to waste. It can become something vibrant and nourishing.
These are healthy carbonated beverages your family will actually reach for this summer.
What you will take home
Each student will leave with their choice of
• Water kefir grains
or
• A kombucha scoby
You will also receive printed clear instructions so you can confidently begin brewing at home right away.
