Grace ended her pre-kindergarten year with a program that involved singing of the bible verses she learned all year and time of fellowship with friends and family. It was a milestone that came too quickly but she accomplished her first year of school and loved every minute of it. Now we are going to enjoy the summer together but all the while I keep hearing "when I am in kindergarten....." She is so excited for her next adventure. I hope she keeps this love of learning as she grows. She is setting a great example for her sisters, one of them who can't wait to go to school. In a few years my love. Hold tight and enjoy being a 2 year old.

Pre-K was a great experience and to show our appreciation to her teacher and aids in the classroom we made a whipped coconut and lime sugar scrub. It is time for all teachers to put their feet up and relax a bit this summer. You work so hard all year and deserve this time off. Enjoy it!

This scrub smells so yummy you could eat it. And you can eat it because it is all natural ingredients you can find in your kitchen. We put it in a half pint mason jar and made it pretty with a scrap piece of fabric and vintage spoon to scoop it with. The mason jar tag is a stamp I found at the craft store and the tag on the spoon is from the dollar store. All the ingredients came from the grocery store.Use unrefined coconut oil because it still has the coconut smell.  This is a perfect foot and hand scrub because it leaves your skin soft from the oil, perfect for summer. Don't hesitate to use it as an all over body scrub too.

Whipped Coconut and Lime Sugar Scrub

1/2 cup of whipped unrefined coconut oil ( put your oil in the stand mixer and whip until light and fluffy)

1/2 cup of white sugar

zest of half a lime

Mix together and keep in the refrigerator for two to three weeks. Use a spoon to scoop it out. Warm it up in your hands to make it spreadable. Then scrub away dead skin and smooth out rough feet.
